Ultrafast Second-Harmonic Generations in a PlasmonicTwo-Wire Transmission-Line

Ultrafast second-harmonic generations (SHGs) in plasmonic two-wire transmission-line (TWTL) is investigated both numerically and experimentally for the first time. Initially, only TM-SHG mode can be generated, regardless of the fundamental-harmonic input being TE or TM. However, we demonstrate that SHG of both TE and TM modes can be generated by incorporating a spatial light modulator to the Gaussian laser excitation profile.
