Exploring ​The Limit ​Of Light Scattering on Passive Objects by Phase Diagram

At subwavelength scale, light scattering generated by illuminating probe fields on passive objects is usually approximated by ​an electric dipolar. ​With high dielectric​s​ or multi-layered structures​,​ one may excite higher-order​ harmonic channels. ​We introduce a phase diagram​ to investigate the physical bounds and limitation on ​all​ possible scattering patterns.
