Electronic Properties of Hybrid Graphane/Boron Nitride Nanoribbons with Hydrogen Vacancy

Electronic properties of hybrid graphane/boron nitride nanoribbons with hydrogen vacancy are investigated using density functional calculations. Two types of vacancy, line and chain, are studied. They reveal different electronic and magnetic properties. The formations of the vacancy at different locations are considered. The interaction of two chain vacancies between graphane ribbon is also compared with that between BN ribbon. The results may be useful for application in nanoelectronic devices.
