Y Shape Ni-DNA Nanowire Device Development and Characterization

Owing to the relative good conductance and self-assembly property of metallic-DNA, it becomes one of most promising nanowire. Two-terminal Ni ions containing DNA (Ni-DNA) nanowire devices have been developed and characterized recently. It will be more interesting to know the charge transport behavior in a Y-shape Ni-DNA device. In this study, a Y-shape Ni-DNA is synthesized and linked on a three-terminal nanodevice by self-assembled process. The I-V curves data indicated that Y-shape Ni-DNA nanodevice exhibits negative differential resistance spectra between each two terminals. The further charge transport behavior and mechanism will be revealed in this study.
